If that doesn't do it the only remaining way to keep your progress would be converting the drastic-savestate to something usable by desmume/no$gba and try to save ingame. Now load your previus savestate and try to save ingame. desmume/battery/ should contain a *.dsv file now (ingamesave).Ĭopy it into the backup-folder of drastic, load your rom (don't continue or load a savestate) and continue your freshly created ingamesave from desmume. Backup your saves (irony) first.įire up desmume on PC and start your rom, play a little and then save ingame. You could always try a clean reinstall of drastic + deleting /drastic/ directory. Probably a rom issue? I never encountered this. If I remember correctly, you are required to save the game during the first half hour of playtime. However, I do not have any pokemon save in the "backup" folder (I checked again after I tried this). Up+select+b all together, hold it for about 3 seconds and then touch will be asked if you want to delete all games, the enter key is the 'a' button and answered the questions. That will give you the option to delete your saved game data. I did delete the ".dsv" file, from the folder "backup", but when I restarted the game and loaded my save state, I got the same message, saying that I still have a previous save file. Once there, hold down Select, B, and Up at the same time. My bad, I didn't explained myself quite right.

The story somewhat resembles season 1 Aldnoah Zero - intriguing major plot points outlined but no content to flesh out the story and add impact to the plot's important events.Ī large part of the problem is no doubt due to the shortness of the adaptation. Instead, Root A follows a rather slow-paced development of the supporting cast with intermittent unexplained violence. Simply nothing comes of this original direction despite the many glaringly obvious routes it could add to the series. For all intents and purposes, there are zero differences in plot progression between the anime and manga, besides the fact that the anime development of the characters is far inferior. I was excited for the prospect of a different take on perhaps the manga's weakest arc, but found myself disappointed by the lack of attention to the main character. Kaneki, who should've been the focal point of the so-called "original plot", is left thoroughly underdeveloped and recieves approximately half a minute of air-time per episode. I never got the feeling that there even was an original element to the story. From one episode to the next, content was centered around adaptations of the sidestory in the manga. Studio Pierrot proved itself completely inadequate to handling the franchise and we can only hope that the Tokyo Ghoul series gets the Brotherhood-esque 50-episode reboot with a much better studio.ĭespite a promising opening episode that immediately introduced a difference in story to the manga, Root A never seemed to be interested in actually developing an original story. For all the hype generated by Sui Ishida creating an original plot lineįor the anime to follow, Root A fell inconceivably short in almost all areas it could. It is a mess of unexplained plot points that insult the complexity of the source material it was adapted from. Root A, however, is trash from an anime-viewer-only perspective and worse than trash if you've read the manga. As a stand alone show, ignoring the quality of the manga, it was pretty good. The first season of Tokyo Ghoul, while certainly not reaching the heights as the manga, was an enjoyable exposition to the series that was able lead newcomers like me to binge read the entire 143 chapter manga in two days. In fact, the author has multiple times mentioned in his interviews that the War of the Worlds star is now "too old for action movies. Apparently, Child regained the rights in 2016 of Jack Reacher as he was never impressed by Cruise playing the lead character in the first place. However, Child told a few years back that Jack Reacher will get a reboot on television without the Mission Impossible star.įans not liking Jack Reacher: Never Go Back was not the only reason for Jack Reacher 3 not being made. However, now the actor and director duo are coming together for another project, which will be different from Jack Reacher. This brash action yarn finds maverick ex-military cop Jack Reacher (Tom Cruise) teaming up with a hotshot lawyer (Rosamund Pike) after a sniper guns down five random victims. "Take Reacher to a place where, in the post-Deadpool, post-Joker world, Reacher could have been an R-rated movie and an R-rated franchise and really fed into the brutality of those books."Īccording to the 52-year-old director, he and Cruise were all set to get into that. McQuarrie went on and explained that they both wanted to take the film series ahead and make the third installment to take the character in a different zone. In an interview with Empire, he disclosed that Jack Reacher 3 would have shown a lot of brutal scenes and eventually receive an R rating. However, McQuarrie revealed that he discussed the third installment of the franchise. The sequel failed to impress the critics and fans, which was one of the reasons the third installment never took place. The revenue generated from the first installment helped the director to pitch an idea for a sequel, Jack Reacher: Never Go Back. While Jack Reacher received mixed reviews, it performed well at the box office for Paramount Pictures. Moreover, the director went on to reunite with Cruise to create two more movies of his popular franchise, Mission: Impossible- Fallout and Mission: Impossible- Rogue Nation. The first installment of the Jack Reacher film was directed by McQuarrie. The 58-year-old actor portrayed Jack Reacher's character which is an action hero in Lee Child books. Tom Cruise is one of the most loved Hollywood stars who had given smashing hits over decades such as Top Gun, Minority Report, and of course the most popular Mission: Impossible film series. The third installment of Jack Reacher was planned and apparently, it would have been R-Rated. Director Christopher McQuarrie revealed that there was a possibility of Jack Reacher sequel to be R-rated, which was discussed with Tom Cruise. |
